I purchased a p3-800 cpu from some guy. I didn't try it right away because I didn't have a slotket. As soon as I got a slotket, I tried it and it didn't work. I checked the pins, and two of them are missing. I'm not sure if I did it, or if it was like that. But anyways, is there any way to re-attach the pins?

try buying a soldering kit at radio shack and try to solder some wire on back on it. It wont be easy at all though.

I'd be a bit surprised if it would work anyway - I can't think of any method that's both accidental and gentle to the entire processor. Any accident that's violent enough to break off pins could probably cause a good bit of additional damage internally. Just don't get your hopes up. :(

Eutectic makes a low temperature silver solder thet can be used to solder on some new pins. Make the replacement pins from copper wire the same size as the original pins. Tin the end of the pin with the silver solder then clean the pins with baking soda or ammonia as the flux is acid core. Apply Nokorode flux to the new pin and the remains of the broken pin in the chip. Hold the pin in position with needle nose tweezers and apply the soldering pencil so the heat will travel down the pin to the end in question and fuse the solder so the pin will be reattached. Be very gentle as the repair is nowhere as strong as the original but it will hold.

I could tell you, but first I'm going to need some telephone wire, a lighter, superglue, whipped cream, a candle, duct tape, and a Anna Nicole Smith video.
