Hi everyone,
my good old Geforce 256 just died, and it's time to get a new card. So I was wondering if there any video card out there that have a Component (red, green, and blue) Video In feature? I REALLY wanna use my monitor to play my PS2, XBOX, GC games when my family were watching TV. I could use S-Video but just incase there are games that really uses the Progressive scan feature on those consoles then I'll have to use the component video.
I've search hi and low on the internet to get more info on this subject already. I know that nvidia's card Geforce2 and above supports HDTV decoding. BUT there aren't any card that has a component video in... is there some accessories for these cards that can convert the S video or something to component video in? and I know that the ATi DVI to HDTV adapter is not the thing i want, coz that's only TV Out, I won't need to plug my comp to the HDTV.

Thanks for any help!!

As far as I know, there isn't a video card that accepts a true component video in signal. There may possibly be aftermarket adapters that you can use, however you are basically defeating the purpose of it then.

I don't believe such a thing exists (or at least not for any desktop solutions). Pretty much all I've seen is s-video or component using the single plug.

Oic.... thanks for the replies.

I really think those card makers should really look into making a board that supports component video in. I mean not many people can afford a HDTV, BUT if they have a pretty good monitor they can still play console games or watch TV in hi definition...
