Are there any USEFUL screensavers?

Are there any that show things like the weather or news?

I haven't even found a screensaver worth having (given that they are no longer needed to "save your screen")

no but i'm in a dorm so it would be convenient to glance at it and see whats going on

I miss my built in Windows 3.1 clock screen saver. I just want a free, simple show-a-clock-on-the-damned-monitor screensaver and maybe have an alarm to it, but have yet to find one.

Maybe one that shows server stats and net stats so you don't have to use any programs, just walk by and look.
