are there any TN panels that go as high as 2560x1440?

Just curious, looking for a high resolution 27" TN panel with a higher resolution than 1080p --- can't really seem to find any that are not IPS panels. Any suggestions? ...thanks.

I'm with corkyg: if you're looking for a monitor at that general resolution level, why the heck would you want a lousy one at that resolution?

Thanks for the reponses. TN seems fine to my unrefined eyeballs for gaming. I was thinking about the U2711. However, concerns about input lag/response times seemed off putting as did how it would handle 1080p resolution (major deal breaker) --- so I thought I might give a high res low cost TN panel a try, but I guess there aren't any. Anyway, thanks for the replies.

I have seen a ton a reviews on the U2711 -- but anyone here with hand/eyes-on experience at how it handles 1920 x 1080? --- how is it for gaming at fast paced FPS and racing games?

Thanks again for for any input.

I had a Dell 2709W that was also said to suffer from input-lag. I never noticed anything like that tbh and this is coming from a Sony CRT. Then again, I'm not a professional gamer or someone with lightning-fast reflexes though. 😛

I can see from the above that the U2711 is really liked by a bunch of folks -- and with good reasons. However, I will use it for gaming and right now 1080p is the sweet spot (at least to me). On occasion I would crank it (a U2711, assuming I get one) up to the native rez depending on the game (I have a pair of 580 gtx's at the moment).

But I guess a major concern is how does the U2711 handle 1080p?...I have read some say it doesn't look that great?...if so, better for the time being to stick to a native 1080p panel?
