Are there any stability problems with the 9700 pro and the SiS 648 chipset

I got a MSI 648 max-L and I'm thinking about getting a 9700 pro. I'm just wondering if there are any known compatiabilty problems.

I have a friend who has an ASUS mobo with the SiS 648 chipset and the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, and he hasn't experienced any stability problems whatsoever. He is running the latest ATI drivers as of this past week.
