Are there any slide-in car stereos for iPod?

I always thought it would be kind of nice to be able to dock your iPod in a car stereo like the old tape cassette players - slide in and start playing. Has any manufacturers made something like that yet?

Not a bad idea, but I think most would like to dock it on the dash or just leave it somewhere.

I wouldn't mind an integrated dock in the car either. Right now I have a 6' stereo cable running from the iPod into the front input jack of the stereo...it's nice when you have passengers in the backset and whatnot, but the stereo also came with a remote control and the wiring gets messy, especially when I have to wrap it up every time I get out of the car. Now that you have the patent, hurry up and get them manufactured so I can buy one :laugh:

Then make one for other mp3 players aside from iPods
