Are there any resellers that will hand pick a specific S-Spec CPU for you?

I can only find resellers who will not (or cannot) provide this type of sale.

If you want an AGOIA- go to newegg and look. They will sometimes advertise the stepping in the description. Right now they have XP1900+ with AGOIA stepping for $89.

The odds of just ordering from a high volume seller are good that you will get what you need. However that is not always the case.

Now to answer your question. Yes there are. But be prepared to pay much more. Why they do it that way, I do not know. I also do not remember who sells them.

Are you trying to match another CPU for SMP? Try memman.com, they matched a pair of retail P3's for me. I don't think they'd do it for non-retail ones, but the S-spec is on the box on retail.

No, I didn't have a dual-CPU in mind. I would just like to get a CPU with the latest stepping. They seem to OC better. :)
