Are there any programs that allow you to create Karaoke videos?

I'd imagine all you need is a background, midi files, and lyrics..are there any programs that allows you to do this?

There are a couple of different media formats. I'm assuming you want to burn them to a CD for you to use. The ones with a movie in the background are VCD based (I believe, I've looked into some technical aspects, and this is my best guess), so creating those may be as easy as making a video for a VCD. That said, syncing the highlighting of the lyrics to the music still isn't the easiest thing.

However the ones with the cheesy/ugly graphics CDG discs. You can't have movies in the background, and your background pictures are limited to 4096 colors (I think), and also have a limited resolution. And only certain burners will be able to burn them (primarily Plextor burners). You would use something like this to create the CDG discs.
