Are there any places in the U.S. that sell DVDs that would work in other countries?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to buy some DVDs for a good friend, but my friend lives in Taiwan. It's his birthday and I wanna send him some DVDs The problem is finding DVDs here in the US that would work in Taiwan DVD players.

Maybe Chinatown?
