Ok, I'm sorta disappointed with my temps on my P4 1.6A at default voltage and default FSB (means not overclocked 😉) on an EPoX 4G4A+ motherboard. I get 42C idle and 56C load during Prime95 🙁... yes still within the safe zone but I expected a bit lower.
When people say "thin layer of AS3" do they mean a very, very slight haze or a film-like covering? I did the latter as it was my first time doing it (and thought that was what they meant by "thin")... sorta like a spotty film covering since I dabbed the Antec silver (I know, its not AS3) on to the heatspreader with an old CC. It's not a millimeter thick though🙂.
So are there any links to pictures of how to apply AS3 the "guru" way?
