The official ICQ client blows. :p Are they any other unsupported client programs out there for ICQ networks? Hmm?

convex has it right...

BTW, I will probably take CS in college, so if you decide to take on that project, I'll help y'out if I can. :)

I know there are many clients for BeOS, Linux, and even MacOS, but none for Windows that I know of. Wow, windows is *so* good. :p

Yea, I just found that, too. Installing it now...

I really like what I see with Miranda, but I'm having trouble connecting. :(

try NetICQ... it's actually a javascript running on a site, which pops up like an ICQ program... all you need to do is enter your UIN and password to use, no installation required... dont know if it's what you're looking for though...

There's always Odigo ... I kinda like it. :) It would be beter if it supported file transfers between Odigo and ICQ users.

Oh my ... Miranda exposes your IP when you are online, even if you choose not to. I can see the IP's from the people that are online now. :Q:Q:Q:Q

Humm ... misinterpreted myself there ...

What miranda does is show the IP address from someone on the list who is online. The official ICQ client hides it away from you. There are other ways of finding out an IP, but this is by far the easiest.

I could type netstat in a dos window and get your ip just as easily. ICQ=No security btw if you guys want my IP its whatever johnshouse.dynodns.net resolves to, have fun ;)
