Are there any NEC MT800 Projector Users? PC Question.

Just landed some NEC's MultiSync MT800 projectors and was wondering if anyone here has one. If so, what kind of cable is used between the PC Controller port and the PC? Is it a PS/2 cable with a serial adapter at the end or what? I'm baffled and I'm not about to just go trying it blindly.

I have the PDF manuals and while they mention a serial cable repeatedly, not once have I seen a picture or description beyond that.

TIA,
DC

he manual is here
the 820 version shows a special cable but the 800 uses a monitor dsub 15pin connector the smaller one is for macs

it says for lcd dsub 15 pin to dsub 15 pin
for ibm vga dsub 15 pin to ps2 and it shows an audio cable built in?

anyway the picture on page 27 the wiring diagram showes you should be able to use dsub 15 pin cables unless the image is different
than the model you have

hope this helps

Wolfsraider,
Thanks for the info, it's the same site I grabbed the manuals from. I'm not concerned about the video output, that much I know is standard 15-pin or MAC VGA, my problem is that I have no remote and I'd like to use the serial remote interface options.

I've got an IR tranciever that is receiving input like the manual suggests doing for controlling the PC via the IR Remote, but I'd like to control the projector in the other direction. Hence the PS/2 to serial question.

Thanks again,
DC
