AFAIK, even though the clock generator may support the 1/6 divider, the function is not present in the KT400 chipset. I have no idea what VIA was thinking about on that one.. My AT7 MAX2 had the option in the shipping BIOS, but would not boot when enabled. The Beta BIOS for the board removed the 1/6 setting completely.

If I'm not mistaken I just saw a review of the soyo kt400 with a 1/6 divider.

>the function is not present in the KT400 chipset.

what does a 1/6 divider have to do with the chipset ?

IIRC, VIA stated that while the clock generator on all KT400 boards supports the correct AGP and PCI dividers @ 200mhz FSB, the chipset itself did not, so the clock generator supporting it was irrelevant.. One would think it is solely the clock generator that would control that, however, the clock generator must interface with the chipset somehow...

Don't remember the i440BX divider limitation when combined with the 133MHz, eh?

The chipset controls the dividers, the BIOS merely gives you selectivity over dividers allowed by the chipset. At least that is my understanding.
