Do you have the SB Live! on ur system? And how many Hds you got on?
If you have the SB Live! on, thats might be your problem.

Sure is, but If he has on is another story!
And it could be problem with the IDE controller too.
Just checking, the SB Live! would be easy to solve if thats the problem.
The IDE controller could be the drivers or other things.
Lets start with the easiests! :)

Running KT7A with SBLive Value, reporting no problems downloading large files. And have moved numerous large files through my network, no problems there. Haven't installed any patches/fixes/ or bios as of yet. Also have the 75GXP 45GIG IBM hdd. Just posting my experiences.

For Optmistic: OK! If dont have problems leave alone. But if you start having problems, you should install the PATCHES, Fixes, Drivers (4 in 1), thats what the SB Live!(EMU 10K1) and the KT133A combination does corrupt large files (>200 Mb). Actually when you are tranfering the data its seems fine, but when you use the files, the data gets corrupted.
For lapdog: Have you installed the patches, fixes? BTW when the data gets corrupted? During the download, or while you are using the files? If its while you are using the files, might be the SB n the KT133A. Then try to run the FIXES, Patches n drivers. But if its during the download, could be the nic. Could be the NIC drivers, are you using the drivers for the windows ME? If you dont try to use the corrects drivers for ME.
Good luck!
Hope helped you guys!

Sure lapdog. If you can get rid of the SB Live! do it. Sell it! Why take risks if can avoid this problem? :) But if you cant, I bet we can find you a affordable solution too.
And first try to do what we said, check if it really is not the NIC.
There are good sound cards out there. The Philips Accoustic Edge, Hercules Game Theater XP(Im not sure about this name, something close to this), and the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. Those are great sound cards!
Nope problems with this configuration!
The problem is between the NORTH BRIDGE KT133A and the EMU10K1 chipset from SB.
Good Luck!
