is there many types of IR adapter for desktop?

i need it to connect with my celphone via IR

wonder where can i find it and link please
 
i found there is two adapter that is using XTNDAccess which is comaptible to my phone

and there is 2 kind of adapter

one is USB and one is serial

wonder which should i get

Just a heads up. Many cellphones have the IR window but it's just for decoration and manufacturing simplification. Example is the Nokia, 6xxx series. Anyone who has changed the faceplate on a AT&T model knows there is no IR receiver. The GSM version used by Bellsouth, Voicestream, etc. does have the IR receiver.

i am sure that my Siemens S40 has and I have used it once with my buddies laptop

i am looking one adapter for my pc

i think i will get the USB one since serial port is going to obselete soon.

but it is pricy though

wonder except of IR adapters from XTNDAccess, what adapters is in the market?
