might be fun to install an old version of windows to one (and play old games), but i don't think i can install to a USB drive (seeing as how USB wasn't around back in 1995). ide would work better, methinks.

Is it that simple of a device? It appears that all it does is act as a pin adapter.

and more apparrently, here

CompactFlash DOES conform to the IDE standard.

which means two things:

1. This is a pin for pin adapter.
2. You could realisitically build your own given the pinouts.
3. CF card readers CAN be used as USB HD adapters :Q

I may have to make use of this information! :evil:
