Are there any good web sites to search for apartments?

I've looked on a few but haven't founf more than a couple places that I want to visit. How do you guys go about finding a place to live in a relatively unfamiliar area?

drive around? best way to find houses/duplexes and see what an area is like

That's what I am going to to do tomorrow. I have one place in mind, hopefully they have something available in the spring. It'll be hard because I want a place with an in-unit washer and dryer, and a garage.

yeh, you said you needed a garage, and i said i wasn't familiar with the area, but it's a great place to live.
not a big city, but "city" things to do. the Carrier Dome is an awesome place to catch a game or a concert.

I don't understand how almost e eryone doesn't want a garage. It's for more than parking a car. What about tools, car cleaning stuff, spare parts/wheels, bicycles, grills, and all sorts of things that don't belong inside your apartment.

I've never been to the Carrier Dome. I'll have to check it out when I get settled there.
