Yeah, there's no issue emulating multiple highbit RISC CPUs on current hardware, you're just not looking hard enough.

I've been told that for something to emulate another platform it has to work 4 times as hard

Actually, I was playing with PCSX2 a few days ago, it SORT OF works. I can boot BIOS and one or two games, but nothing's playable (in fact, the framerate in the pansyass BIOS is abysmal.

xBox should've been properly emulated around the time they figured out how to mod the things - but there's no interest in it, the entire emulation community is now devoted to emulation *****ON***** the consoles instead of emulation ****OF**** the consoles.

Man alot of you gusy sure are asses. Bring up the work emulation and a majority of you act like everyone and their mom are using it for the wrong purposes.

There is no God, and hideous variety-show DVDs starring J-pop jailbait are not good for you.

Looks like the game got great reviews

Is that really a game or just a bunch of interactive music videos...

edit: very disturbing indeed, and I thought parodius for the Psx was tame. :)

yeah thiers no reason someone with say a athlon 1.4ghz, Nforce Chipset and a Nvidia Geforce 4 shouldn't be able to run xbox in emulation. since most of the hardware is very close to that of the pc equivalents. you would still most likely need a compatability layer to convert some things but most of the code should run on PC hardware

In a word, convergence. From my point of view, I view emulators as a way to converge all your devices down to a single device. I don't really have the table space for like 5 console systems, dvd player, full entertainment system, etc. I have a desk with a huge 27" lcdtv that I use as both my tv and pc monitor. There's something that saves space. I do have room for a computer that can do it all, but not all these items so what's the next best thing? You make something run on the pc! At least that leaves room for your system and games to be used in another room so that the kids stop fighting over it for example.
