Dude, normally I dont crap on folks, (especially when they are trying to be helpful), but your system isnt complete.
It cost 950 bucks and still needs:
Case
Hard drive
Optical Drive
Mouse, Keyboard, Speakers
OS

I think the idea of buying a cheap eMachine and slapping in a video card is better for me.

I already have thouse from my previous PC.

And I dont really NEED the monitor, just would be nice to have a better quailty one. So thats -200 if i decide not to get it.

If your idea of building a gaming rig is buying an over priced crappy computer and putting a video card in it, why are you on this forum?

Really? I want to play whatever you are playing!

Compared to Doom 3 and Quake 4, obvlion isnt much of anything.

Compared to Q4 and D3, Oblivion will have more replay value in one sidequest than either of those games do combined

I loved Morrowind just as much as the next person... But your blatant display of fanboyisum is unpleasing; especially from a game you haven?t played.

Don't crap on civilization - it's clearly the best game ever. Play it, even if you think you don't like turn based games. Really. It's a bit like drugs but you only have to buy it once...

Also, have you played the new prince of persia games? They're like a cross between fighting game and 3D platformer. I just played all 3 of them, great fun.

As for games coming out soon, have you seen titan quest? looks a bit like diablo, but not just a simple clone, could be good.

I'm sorry, but it's much much harder to create realistic organic environments and creatures than metal corridors and body armor. The tech is just as good as DoomIII tech and it will probably push your computer even harder.

I dont really like turn based games, Only Turn based game I liked was Worms series.

I played Prince of Persia on Xbox, yeah.

And I?m getting sick of Diablo clones, how many have we had so far? 13 dozen?.

There re plenty of organic monsters in Quake 4 And Doom 3. I do agree outdoor environments are much more preferred scenery, but you are comparing apples to oranges. If Doom and quake was placed outside with pretty spackling sun, it wouldn?t be scarry. To say that it is HARDER to model metallic surfaces over organic models is irrelevant to the gaming experience. If the only reason Oblivion will push your PC harder is because of bad coding. As it stands now, Q4 and D3 surpass Oblivion graphics.

And being that no one has played Oblivion you/we can not judge the game quality?. yet.

Did Trigger's post make sense to anyone? I think I know what he was trying to say, but it came out all wrong like he didn't understand my post.

I am trying to use as small of words as possible. I?m sorry you can't understand me.

I have seen the oblivion demo, and 100's of screenshots. I am afraid you are just caught up in the hype.

He says Quake 4 and Doom 3 are the better looking games and then he accuses other folks of being caught up in the hype.
My friend, you arent missing the point.
You're fighting it.

Sort of like recommending I spend 950 bucks for an incomplete system and then crapping on a $600 one that uses the same QUALITY of parts as Dell, Sony and all the other low-end guys.
Only the high-end gaming systems use quality parts through out the system. Examples include ABS, Falcon Northwest, VooDoo and Alienware.

Personally it sounds like no game is going to please you as everything looks like crap. If thats the case don't buy the computer, put your money somewhere else.

no need to use small words, just use them clearly. on the first page you say you're waiting for oblivion but don't want to spend $900 to play a single game.

then you say the graphics aren't even that great and you link an image. yeah, that'll do it justice

i wasn't impressed by q4 myself. its ok but i think oblivion will blow it away.

at any rate, just grab a damn game and play it. you obviously know what you like in games so it shouldn't be that hard.
