Are there any good expresscards out there?

I did a little googling and binging, but I couldn't get any hard facts.

Is there an Expresscard ssd with more than 100GB that has good read/write speeds (uses the pci express bus instead of usb) for sale right now?

My laptop is almost full and I was wondering if I could transfer all my games to one of these disks. Will the performance be better or equal to a traditional hard disk ( mine's 5400 rpm)?

Sorry, but there is no such thing. The express card SSDs are more like big USB sticks, they cannot meet your demands.
If you are running out of space, buy a bigger (and faster) HDD for your laptop and replace it.
If you really have lots of money, buy a big SSD for your laptop to replace your laptop's HDD.

Also there are the hybrid drives: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...tus+xt&x=0&y=0
500GB, 7200 rpm, hybrid drives (platters + a small SSD chip)... they get significantly better performance than classic HDD. Not nearly as good as an SSD, but they are cheaper and fairly large
That being said, I read some people complain about firmware issues, not sure if its true or not. So if you want to get it, do some research first to make sure this isn't an issue.

Thanks for the info.

It's too bad I can't get much use out of that port though. When I checked out the net all I got was SSDs, USB ports, card readers and Network adapters for that port. So I was hoping there would be one SSD based device with the PCIe specification.

there ARE express card SSDs... you required one that is "more than 100GB that has good read/write speeds" as well... and while unstated, cheaper than the alternative (a competent upgrade to the current drive).
The biggest I saw IIRC was 64GB, and they were slow and expensive.

the only one currently on sale in newegg is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820161325
a 48GB drive that is basically an expresscard to USB convertor + USB stick... its performance is atrocious, lower than that of a spindle drive. And it costs more than the hybrid 4GB SSD+500GB spindle internal drive
