are there any good co-op PC games out?

the last good co-op game i knew of was serious sam 2. it doesnt seem like there are any good co-op games available for PC. Halo got itsco-op mode stripped when moved to PC. We usually have lan parties, and we play stuff like UT2k4, but sometimes i just have several friends over, or 1 only. itd be nice to play a co-op game now and then on PC, instead of having to go on my Xbox.

do they exist? or are they all old....

It's a same, but Co-Op seems to be slowing fading into the sunset.

ghost recon is an awesome co-op game. My friends and i have small lans and just play this game hours and hours

Rainbow Six. The older versions I prefer because the new one has all that fancy 3D b.s. and it doesn't run very smooth IMO. We used to play it a LOT at our lan parties. two teams, or also 1 team v.s. the bots (terrorists).

Delta Force 2 had pretty good co-op for fewer people. There are newer Delta Force games now, but I haven't tried them.

You can always play RTS against the computer...games like Warcraft 3 (and mods like Defense of the Ancients) are great online...although you can't play DoTA single-player or vs. the computer, it's still awesome.

The computer is so hard in that game, 7 human players against 1 computer at the hardest difficulty, we won, but the road was long and rough

I think Ghost Recon is one of the best Coop games I have played, especially if you don't mind using UBI for setting up the games. LAN is better of course, but not always an option.

Sven co-op mod for Half life, graphics are a bit dated but the game is a laugh if you get on the right server.

Will Rock by Ubisoft supports up to 4 players in co-op mode. Reviews say that it is very similar to Serious Sam 2.

battlefield vietnam. awesome, you can have upto 64 players(depending on hardware) and as real peeps come in, the ai ones drop off. excellent

Sure can. A friend and I co-op'ed online through the entire original campaign. It was the most fun I'd had with a game in a while.

It sucks that co-op is being dropped off the importance list of features for so many recent and future games. The only reason I got Serious Sam 2 was to play through it with my bro in co-op.

I miss the days of playing Doom/Doom2 in co-op. I swear Far Cry or Unreal 2 would've been a bigger hit had they included co-op play. Of course, I own them both so maybe I'm the sucker?

i agree!! far cry is such a great game, i could only imagine how awesome it would have been to play through that game with somebody.

supports up to 4 players in co-op mode. ebgames has it for 10 bucks.

also, if you have a decent internet connection to your LAN you can try Enemy Territory. It's free and is based on the return to castle wolfenstein game. excellent team based play with classes and xp.
