Are there forum members who are US citizens but volutarily living in another country?

Where do you live?

What do you like and dislike about where you live?

Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks

Nope. You have it backwards.

$1.00 US = $0.77 Euro

I'm an expat living in Mexico since 1995.

Edit: BTW, if you're leaving the US solely because Bush is President, you're an idiot.

Where in Mexico do you live?

Thanks

Down where it's wetter,
Under the SEA!"

Seriously, I can understand people don't like W (I am one of them) but c'mon. This country has made it through 2 centuries of presidents, not all of them good. Four more years with W is not the end of the world. You give him too much credit in saying that he could single-handedly destroy all that is good here. Besides, isn't it our obligation as citizens to work with the elected government (whether you voted for them or not) to implement change for the greater good? Government is all about compromise. If everyone who dislikes the administration leaves, will there be anyone left here to force compromise? Aren't you doing the nation an injustice if you leave and there's no one left to protest against unjust policy?
Just a thought. :)

It would be more helpful if more people kept on topic....

Are there any US citizens on this forum living abroad?

What do you like and dislike about where you live?

Thanks

This is a thinly-veiled gripe thread, what did you expect from this forum? It is also a thinly-veiled attempt at getting people to beg you to stay. If you want to leave then hop a flight and then decide. I'm tired of the whining and gnashing of the teeth. It is a fscking eleciton, it isn't as if they just genocided your entire race. If you are going to leave a country over the outcome of one election, then please do it quickly and get the fvck out. There are plenty of people who want to live here, and we've no time for whiners. In four years George W. won't be President, so why worry? Sheesh.
