i believe if the CD starts spinnig faster than 52X it will crack.. which is why normal CD rom drives do not go past 52X.... or something liek that.

You mean to say that we'll never hit anything under 2.5 minutes????? BTW 52x cd-r's burn in 2.5 minutes? my 48x does it in 5 minutes, is there something wrong?
Sadly RW disks haven't caught on. Very few people need to backup data for years - play their illegal copied games for years - play the same old music for years, etc. Instead most people need a cd for just a few months - until they backup again, until they finish the game, until they get tired of that music and move on to newer stuff. So CDRWs are perfect. You can buy one RW disk and use it many, many times - saving yourself a big wad of cash. Ever get a coaster with a CDR? With a CDRW you just burn it again without a problem. Thus CDRWs are the perfect thing for most people. Unfortunately no company can make fast RW burn speeds or fast RW disks. That is why we are wanting fast RW speeds.what would you need faster RW's for?
