Are there any "fast" 128GB/200GB microSD cards on the market?

I've been looking and it seems that all of the larger capacity cards are fairly slow. Slower than 20MB/sec seq writes usually.

I've used faster 64GB cards (faster than 60MB/sec seq writes) so would like something that fast but with more capacity. Or does this not exist?

I did a little searching on Amazon, and the PNY 128GB seems to do ~ 30MB/sec.

There's the Samsung Pro/Pro Plus MicroSDXC at 128GB which should have sequential write speeds at 80-90MB/s depending on whether you choose the Pro or the Pro Plus.
The Pro Plus has a slight advantage when it comes to sequential read and writes while the Pro has the advantage when dealing with small files that are not read/written sequentially.

Can't say where you would find one if you happen to live outside of Europe however.

The Samsung Pro+ 128GB is available in the US but it's pricey (listed at $150USD at Best Buy). That seems excessive but at least it's an option if I decide to splurge.

Looks like Kingston has a card at 128GB with 80MB/s writes too.
It's available at BHPhoto for 90USD.

Awesome. I just read a review of the Kingston and it does look like it will sustain 60MB-70MB/sec writes.

But that won't help if you're using it in a camera, tablet, or phone, and why would anyone actually buy card-based flash memory except for a device that requires the (physical) format? I can see using one you happen to have lying around for temporary storage, but otherwise see only downsides to using a card versus a USB drive or, for semi-permanent needs, the SSD you mention...

That's true for a portable device but the OP never mentioned how he wanted to use it. Many portable's don't support that much memory so he'd have to check that as well prior to purchase. Action cameras use a lot of storage yet don't support the use of high capacity cards like that either. With that said mine is only rated for 32gb but I'm using a 64gb card in it. I've never tried to fill it up beyond the 32 and I might try just to see what happens. I'll bet that it just halts when it reaches its capacity and the same might be true for other devices which would render making an expensive purchase like that moot.

My 60D can talk to sdxc and the standard allows up to 2TB card. There are 512GB ones. I see 95MB/s ones. Not sure if that is write speed. Really annoying that they don't spell out write rate.

True. I was just assuming it's for a portable since, as I wrote, I really can't imagine why anyone even consider buying card-based media unless that format is actually required (or maybe if it's at a price that just too silly to pass up on general principles.)

Even class 10 is super slow so it will require something pricey to get the rates you are looking for.

Yeah, I was expecting a premium but it seems that the premium for 128GB cards is a lot more.

For a fast Samsung Pro+ 64GB card (spec is 90MB/sec write), it's $40. The 128GB version of the card is $150.
