I didn't see any posts for this so I thought i'd put it up for the other dorks like me who loved Batman the Animated Series.

Warner have announced volume one of Batman: The Animated Series which will be arriving in shops this July. The four disc set will include twenty-eight awesome adventures of the caped crusader, and will be available to own from the 6th July this year. Retail will be set at around $49.98. Each of the episodes will be presented in 1.33:1 full screen along with English, French and Spanish Stereo tracks. Extras wise you can expect the set to include audio commentary on selected episodes by Bruce Timm, Paul Dini and Eric Rodomski, a Batman: The Legacy Continues featurette, a Dark Knight's First Night featurette, a tour of the Batcave and trailers for Challenge of the Superfriends, Justice League: Star Crossed and Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman.

Also it sounds like its in production order and two-part episodes will be grouped together.

I wish some shows would stop wasting time and just release all the seasons at once, or at least have dates to release them all before they release the first one... I'm not talking about the shows that have a decades worth of seasons, but shows with only two or three seasons seem to release the first one and be done.

I'd buy this, but $50 for the 28 episodes is kinda steep to me. I didn't even pay that for the Macross Saga of Robotech.

No gargoyle's yet... but the 1st season is rumored to be released in the 4th quarter of 2004. Don't know how accurate that is, but you can check out this site by Greg Weisman, the creator of the show.
