Are there any decent entry level Video Cameras for ~$200-300

I am thinking about getting a Video Camera for christmas, probably around $200-$250 for the camera itself and another $50-$100 for acessories. Can I buy a decent entry level Video Camera for that much? I have been using my friends HandyCam which is fairly nice not sure how much he payed for it though.

Note that not only is the Canon Elura 100 in the Top 20 at camcorderinfo, it's also by far the cheapest...while beating a couple-dozen other cameras that cost two to three times as much.

If you're strict about the budget, drop out of the Top 30 and go with a Panasonic PV-GS39.
