This made me LOL... 😛

Okay, I guess I'll try and post them here.

How does one go about buying a car back from the insurance company after filing a claim(assuming the car is totalled)? Do you just ask? Is there a lot of red tape?

I've heard of people buying their cars back for like 1$, because the car is just a headache to the insurance company. Does that ever really happen?

How much would you expect to pay for your totalled car? What it's actually worth, or something less because of above mentioned headache?

Thanks.

The ins co asks if you want it back, they have to give you first crack.
I totaled a 95 F 250 diesel, 4X4 and they wanted $650. They gave me $7800 for the claim.
