Are there any areas in Bethesda I should avoid?

I'm going to be taking a trip to Bethesda, Maryland this week. Are there any areas I should avoid? I'm planning on doing some walking to save some gas, so I'm trying to play it safe.

I was also thinking of maybe checking out DC at night time. What's the most convenient and safest way to get to DC from Bethesda after 6PM?

So I should be safe walking the streets around 8AM and after 5PM? My drive to my destination is only about a 2 miles, so I figured I can just walk.

i would suggest avoiding the state entirely... maryland sucks that said, DC and Baltimore suck, but i don't know anything about bethesda

Yeah, cool town actually, nothing to worry about unless a huge variety of good restaurants scares you.


I lived in Baltimore for awhile, and worked near DC. Given those two, Bethesda is just swell.
