are there any amps for guitars and basses?

are there any amps out there where you can plug in an electric guitar or a bass? instead of just a guitar amp or just a bass amp? anyone get me? kinda like a 2in1 amp

You can plug a guitar into a bass amp.... probably not the best, but in a pinch.. I'm not sure about the other way around though.

Don't see why not... I don't really know the difference.. Probably just a different speaker? for the lower ranges... Maybe not even that..
