Are there any alternatives to Powerstrip?

Howdy all!

I'm wondering if there are any programs out there like Powerstrip that allow you to create custom resolutions for your video card/monitor. Powerstrip is nice, but doesn't seem as user-friendly as I'd like it to be. Any ideas? Thanks!

Well, I'm trying to create a custom resolution with my X800 Pro (1248x702, 16:9 aspect ratio) and make it work with my Samsung HDTV. At 1280x720, there's a load of overscan, but at 1248x702, there is very little, if not none at all.

I was able to get the resolution working just fine with my 9700 Pro when I had it, but for some reason, the resolution doesn't seem to be changing with the X800 Pro. Maybe it's not powerstrip, maybe it's my card. Who knows? 😕

There's a neat program called DScaler that helps convert interlaced sources to HD. I'm not sure if it will allow you to do custom resolutions. PowerStrip is really the best available for that sort of thing.
