Are there any *accurate* portable keyboards?

My new laptop (ASUS N80Vn series) seems to have a slight problem with missing keystrokes. I have to be extra careful to press every key all the way down for best results, which is definately hindering my WPM.

I don't need anything really fancy, just something that will allow me to type emails, homework, and reports without being forced to go back to fill in the blanks. It also has to be portable (specifically thin) enough to fit in a 14.1" laptop case.

I know the laser projection keyboards suck, but what about the rubber roll-up keyboards, or the folding hard plastic ones? Is there anything with good accuracy, small size, and a good reputation for under $75 or so?

Shouldn't you get the keyboard of your ASUS fixed while it is still under warranty?

I don't think it's a broken keyboard, I think it's just very picky about key strokes. I've seen quite a few complaints about this model's keyboard, so I don't think it's anything exclusive to me (and thus anything they'll be able to just "fix," though I will check).

It's not that much worse than other laptop keyboard's I've used, just pickier about how deep you press the key.

I have a pretty nice mini keyboard in my FS/T listing linked below, but it is PS/2 only (can be had in USB from several resellers around the Web). It's sold under several brand names (Adesso and Solidtek are the most common). Here's a pic: http://www.ergonomicconnection...ges/Mini%20ACK-595.jpg I use a USB combo numpad/calculator with mine for balancing the checkbook, etc. I have at least one of those (Staples NIB) available as well as a new, similar Canon. I like the mini kbds as they allow my Logitech trackball to be right next to the home row and I keep the numpad on the left and move it to the right (where the trackball sits normally) when I'm using it heavily. Works great for me - my back loves the ergonomics over most normal keyboards. I tried a normal sized keyboard with the numpad on the left but it was a POS...
