Are there any 19" WideScreen LCDs with 16.7m/8-bit Color?

Given that I needed to buy a new 19" widescreen LCD that would be good quality (for browsing and movies) for years to come while staying within a rather low budget I was consentrating on two important aspects:
- Colors (8-bit 16.7 million)
- Inputs (VGA & DVI)

So I went hunting for 19" LCDs that met both criteria while not costing too much and came up with the following two monitors (that were for sale in my region)
> Acer AL1916W asd
> LG L194WTX-BF
Both are relatively cheap (below $220 CDN) and have VGA&DVI inputs, the only thing left was to confirm the COLORS. The LG manufactuers web page mentions that it has 16.8 million (I assume this was a typo instead of 16.7) which means (unless I am mistaken) 8-bit color, this prompted me to find all the other 8-bit color 19" widescreen LCDs to do a compare but the only other one I found that had some spec pages listed was the Acer model I mentioned. Now over the past few days I have been looking to confirm both the ACER and LG and have gotten very conflicting responses.

If anyone could maybe confirm that there are infact 8-bit (16.7m) 19" widescreen LCD monitors and I am not wasting my time looking for something that doesn't exist it would be much appreciated. Because there are a lot of 6-bit (16.2m colors) that have both VGA&DVI that are within my price range (my current favorite being the Samsung 941BW) but I don't want to waste $ on a 6-bit if the option for 8-bit is around.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks - hopefully I can get this all resolved to make the best decision when the actual buying occurs...

yeah. the 19in lcds are usually considered cheap these days. they use the cheaper TN panels, and usually to cut more corners, do away with more 'niceties' like rotate/pivot/adjustability etc. i think theres a few 19in lcds made by nec thats 8bit, but i dont think they are widescreen. plus they come at a cost premium compared to these Tn 19in panels
