Hey fellow ATers-
I've been longing for a new monitor for quite a while now. This old 17" proview is just not cutting it anymore... it's better than some but I would really like something with a flat screen to it. That being said I would really rather invest in a TFT LCD screen for a number of reasons. Originally I thought about getting a Samsung 181T or 191T but right now it looks like it will be a long time indeed before I can afford either, and in the interim LCD prices are supposed to rise again. So right now I'm thinking of asking for a less expensive ($500 would be a stretch) 15 or 17 LCD for Christmas, but I don't know if I'm making a bad decision. Right now I'm looking at the Samsung 152T and the Sony DELUXEPRO 15" monitors, although these have a higher response time (30ms). Also I considered the Hercules lineup but I dont think those are as nice as either the Samsung or Sony models. Anyway, I keep hearing that low response times are nice but they don't fix all of the problems with games on an LCD.
Any advice, recommendations or reviews you can point me to would be much appreciated.
