I have a bunch of random items in my house I want to sell online. Is ebay the only good option?
There's a thing on facebook called "facebook marketplace"
I know a couple people have listed things on it, I'm not sure how successful they were.

There are specialty auction sites for different classes of items as well I think. Gunbroker.com comes to mind for guns. You might even be able to sell certain items faster and/or for better prices in more specialized venues.
Amazon is no good unless you have bulk quantities.
I dont like Ebay either but so far its been OK. The problem for me is: I make so little off the sales that after I pay shipping and fees I hardly keep anything for myself.
Make sure you know exactly what shipping is going to be before you complete your ad. Keep in mind you are often NOT allowed to charge what the shipping will actually cost you, so you will probably take a loss.
I lose one dollar for every D&D book I sell and ship (costs me 5 dollars and I can only charge 4), so unless I sell the book for at least 11 dollars PLUS shipping its not really worth my effort to even make the sale. I havent put anything up in weeks because its so depressing letting 35 dollar books go for 15.
Craigslist is OK but you will definitely get some weirdos and assholes. Do NOT give out your home phone number. In fact I recommend you only conduct business through a Tracfone, specially purchased just for people you dont want to have your number.
I've sold a couple of things on Kijiji.
eBay owned but I don't think they take fees (to compete w/ CL)
EDIT: Oh, I see they completely changed the name to ebayclassifieds.com
i once came across a website a few years back to used to sell teenage girls toenails and used under wear.
Kinda gross
Kinda
half.com for books and CD's you want to get rid of.
For now, forums are the best place to sell electronics, in my opinion.
Was it Japanese based?
