Are the original, unaltered versions of Stars Wars still available anywhere?

I don't even care if it's on VHS. The ones on Amazon seem to be special editions. I might as well grab it now while before they totally disappear.

I have an extra set back at my house in texas 🙂
I dunno if I want to sell it though. Have you checked ebay?

Might have to eventually. I would like a brand new set if possible.

I believe LD is generally regarded as the best original version available.

There are some pretty good captures out there, it wouldn't be hard to make DVD's.

Of course you would need to do it yourself for it to be on the up & up.

Actually not TOO bad, all things considered.

Quite a few on ebay.

There's also plenty of 1995 versions of the Trilogy on Ebay to answer my question. I guess the Lucas Empire has wiped them out of retail however 🙁

I own the laserdisc set myself. It's call the Star Wars definitive collection, and came with a book and special packaging.
