I'm using 8k3A+ and XP 2100+....the default multiplier is set at 13x...i tried changing it to 14x, leaving the FSB @ 133, but system wont boot...are the mutplier above 13x locked..or my system can't handleit..i'm kindda new to this overclocking stuff....tho i managed to get to 1820mhz by increasing FSB to 140mzh :pPP :) :)

yes, the multiplier on your xp is probably locked

there's ways to overcome that though...

There are some mobo/bios issues which seem to prevent mobo/bios from resetting default multipliers higher when default is 13X or higher. What has been found successful is to manually reset the 8X Bit Value signal bus from HI to LO by connecting the AJ27 pin to a nearby ground pin. Then the system will boot at 5X but with full bios control of the 5X thru 12.5X range. Of course this means using very high FSB, which igenerates the best oc'g performance with better memory band width. xtremesystems.org, AMD forum, "Unlocking XP 2100 without cutting bridges" thread by oppainter gives the mod.
May be some explanatory links there also.
