Just curious cause there is one about 5 miles from my house down in South Florida. Anyone from the area usually knows about it, called Deenie's Hideaway on Hillsborough in Coconut Creek.

Whats the legality of such a club?

EDIT: They have a website, (which is easy to find), i just cannot link to it here since some nudity is present...

Why would it be any more illegal than a regular club? A bunch of people drinking & hoping to get laid.

They are AFAIK. You have to buy a membership of some sort as the rules applying to a "private club" are different. There are a bunch of them here in Atlanta.

In general, the people who run these clubs know they're looked down upon by society and take great pains to stay within the bounds of the law.

I believe that many of these clubs are meeting places, but you have to go off premesis to do the deeds.

But then again, what do I know. I've never had the pleasure of being a member of such a club.

legal here in Canada. Except you are not allowed to have actual intercourse or penetration while inside the establishment. Whatever you do with whom ever you met afterwards is your business.

I actually read an article about this just the other day. They are trying to lift the band that doesn't allow intercourse and penetration while attending the clubs. Why? I don't care to know. Sounds like it's screwed up to begin with..

I guess I used to live close to you, it was 5minutes from my old house as well. (Now it's about 30mins away).

Funny story: When we moved to FL (way back in early 80's), we drove down from New England. My parents were looking for a place to sleep for the night, after we had given up finding the place we were supposed to stay (in Delray) and somehow ended up there. My dad got out of the car, and went in to 'check in' etc and came back out a few minutes later, got in the car, said basically nothing or no vacancy and drove away. It was very late to be 'awake' (2am or so) and we were all tired and the parking lot was basically dead so we didn't let that go. Eventually he whispered something to my mother, and they just said it was a dirty place.

Over the years, I learned more about it, as we'd have to drive by it occasionally. My mom once said that my Dad told her it had mattresses all over floor and it was dirty. I never did get much out of them on that, mostly cuz I didn't want to press it. I didn't learn it was a swingers club until I was older (don't remember when I learned that, might have read it in the news actually). I have checked out the website before. It sounds interesting, not for me, but what people do in the privacy of their homes or with strangers at a club doesn't really concern me. It's been there for so long now that I have to believe the law has turned a blind eye to it.

same here. I went to a fairly racey s&m club in nyc, and the host was very explicit about the rules regarding penetration. I'd imagine it would be about the same for a less marginalized swingers club.

ON HBO's real sex show, they did a segment on some swinger's annual get together (sort of like a Swinger's Sturgis Rally) in Nevada or California, can't remember which. It was for married couple's only (I believe some swinger clubs allow singles or non-married couples). A couple of things struck me about the segment: 1) There were people of all backgrounds, race, age, etc there and 2) 99% of them were just downright ugly.

The article, (I'm going to look for it) also made mention of what types of people are found at these types of clubs. There was a high population of Christians and Jews the other was agonistic or something according to a national survey.

Of course it would be "screwed up" to begin with if they allowed intercourse in the club.

Don't get me wrong I'm not against it, I just wouldn't persnonally be apart of it.

Well, it wouldn't always be "screwed up" to begin with. She doesn't always have to be on top.

There was just a court case up in the province of Quebec in Canada about swingers clubs.... judge said it was perfectly legal as long as the sex didnt occur in a public area of the club. So, once you swap your wife you head off to your own private room with a door and a curtain separating you from the others. If everyone was all together then it would be classifiend as an orgy, and since in the judges opinion, society can accept swinging, but not orgies

Hehehehe , I knew you were going to say Deenie's. I used to live in Coconut Creek, and a girl I was dating in high school(20 years ago) always told me her parents went to a Deenies Hideaway. Didnt think that it was real, until I was shown the building. Not much to look at huh? Kinda plain jane right around the mobile home courts. I believe they are a bottle club(BYOB) and as such are not subject to the local licensing scam to shut them down, Also, I have a cousin who frequents these clubs in New York and the rules state that there is to be no sexual contact inside the club. Ya wanna get it on, take it to a hotel room. But of course you see all sorts of "activity" going on. I believe they also try the old"We are a private club" line. And at Deenies, I believe you have to pay a "membership" fee or something like that. Hell I havent been by there in several years, but I imagine that the rules are probably still the same.

Peace
