Are SSDs worth the extra money?

Was thinking of adding one to my rig in my sig, and run my OS and Flight Simulator from it, but never having used one, I'm curious how they feel in daily use. What do you guys recommend if I look into one?

Gosh I feel so detatched from this stuff anymore lol...Compared to 5-10 years ago, I dont know anything. :$

Whatever you do, get a 2nd generation SSD that is TRIM capable. The net value would be a function of your resources. :)

Personally I'm for the drives; but they still feel a bit like "bragging rights" at the time being due to the steep price. Take that for what you will.
