Are SSDs reliable?

How's the reliability on the lower end SSDs?

I've seen some $200 SSDs and I've been contemplating 'upgrading' (Space is not a concern). However I've seen quite a few reviews which seem to indicate a high failure rate?

Opinions please.

The Samsung SSD's seem to be the best to go with right now. The OCZ SSD is essentially a rebadged Samsung. Some of the older SSD's were having severe issues, the newest generation seem to be pretty nice so far though.
