Are Spam Killers Needed?

I know it has come to a point where POPUP Killers are a must. Are SPAM KILLERS needed now also?
I use Outlook XP, and the amount of spam I get it out of control. Even replying to abuse@whatever.com doesn't seem to help.

Do most users use some sort of SPAM KILLER? What one? Does it help?

 
Try Cloudmark Spamnet. Works seamlessly with Outlook and is totally free. I use it in co-op with Spamassassin on the mail server and cant remember when was the last time I got a spam mail. I used to get them by the dozens.
