If somebody wants to smoke a coco plant I don't think anybody should stop them. It's when its purified and processed that it should be illegal.

No, you have it confused. I promise. I read a 800 page book on how Cocaine is made and distribution of it. Cocaine Alkaloid is found naturally in Coca Leaves, it is then turned into a paste, and then you use Hydrochloric acid to reduce it more. You are trying to isolate the Alkaloid.
