Are "shine marks" from ironing removable?

I was just ironing a pair of pants and up near the pockets where it gets really bumpy, I got a small shine mark. Is it possible to remove these, for example, will they come out in the wash?

I realize NOW that I can iron pants inside out and that'll fix the shine mark problem.

This is why tuxedo rental places stress not ironing your rented tuxedo pants, and hanging them up as soon as you get them so that any wrinkles work out naturally.

Try burning out the shine with the hot iron set to max temperature.
