My 55" TV just isn't going to work in the living room of my new house, so in looking for a smaller, widescreen, HDTV ready model, I have come across the 30" Samsung models, which are anywhere from $850 to $1000. Anyone have any experience with them?

Any other models/makes to suggest in the 34" and under range?

thx

Frankly, I haven't seen a single good thing made by Samsung, except for memory and harddrives which are the loudest and slowest too. All their electronics is of horrible quality. I know, some people swear by Samsung. Their products are quite reliable though, but just not up to the quality standards IMVHO. Heck, I'd take LG over Samsung with closed eyes. At least they good attractive design unlike Samsung ones. I associate Samsung with VIA. Both have lots of hype and lots of problems. Heck, they distributed some deadly viruses on driver CDs to their LCDs, and then apologized on the website.

Their DLP TVs are top-notch...but they're also $3000+ (still cheaper than plasma though!)
