Question Are RGB settings applied at a hardware level?

I may have worded that incorrectly. I dual boot Windows and Linux you see and currently I have no RGB components in my system, but I'm going to build a new one that will. Almost everything will have RGB on it even the mouse and keyboard.

Since all the software to control RGB is written for Windows, after configuring the RGB (in Windows), will those RGB profiles still be applied after rebooting and booting into Linux?

Btw, I had no idea where to post this, but since it relates to a new build I figured I'd post it here.

Thanks

I think it really depends on the hardware. I don’t have a ton of experience with RGB (hate the rainbow), but some will retain their settings without software, while others default to the basic rainbow effect when you remove the software.
