Are Republicans turning America socialist?

I think they just may in the long run. For far too long they've used classic red-baiting tactics and smears against the Democrats' policies and party in general. However, instead of offering a credible alternative to their ideas, we got rabid right-wing ideology. After having experienced a few decades of this propaganda and failed policy, people of my generation and younger will begin to look at capital "S" socialism as a legitimate alternative.
