Are reconditioned phones as good as new?

I don't like it. reconditioning is just a fraud with customer

manufacturer reconditrioned = ok
seller/insurance refurbished = not ok. (i've seen a bunch of crap come back from ASSurion and ASSurant).

My reconditioned galaxy s5 is practically brand new. along with the 3 LG G2's I purchased from the same seller on ebay... the seller's name was "mywit". have no idea how they obtain their phones but i don't care. they are practically new to me.
