Should work. I use one on my straight. It's nothing fancy; just a leather strap. If you have an old belt or something, that'll work too.
 
What are these "razor blades" of which you speak?


I haven't shaved since early Septembeard...but now that Februhairy is almost over...
 
I use a DE with feathers and I love it. Next time I want to treat myself, I think I'm picking up a Dovo straight razor.. but I've gotta save for that.
