They are the elite gaming mouse. But are they worth the price tag?
I have a Wireless Optical Logitech mouse, which i bought for like $22?
And im loving it, Just wondering if razer mice really makes a difference?

The razer mouse is great, but I can't really tell the difference between it and my old MX500.
and when I upgrade from my MX700 to the MX500, I can't tell much difference besides that the MX500 is lighter.
However, compare to your Wireless Optical Logitech, I think the difference is gonna be "HUGE"!!

Razer, bah.

Logitech MX518
Can't wait to get this bad boy to accompany my upgrade. I currently us a MX510 and it's a great mouse, but this DPI adjustment from 400-800-1600 is just awesome. I play quite a few FPS games, this will be invaluable for sniping in BF2:D. Otherwise the mouse has an awesome ergonomic design and 8 buttons, yet not cluttered. The forward/back buttons for your thumb are invaluable while surfing the web, and I use the forward button for my Ventrilo "push-to-talk" key when playing with the clan.

Razers are ok, but even the latest ones have some flaws. They're not that expensive anymore, but I'd still stick with the ol' MX510 (or 518) which are perfect.

Oh that reminds me of something, if you like the sideways-tilting scroll wheel the 510s and 518s dont have it, MX1000 does, not sure about the Razers.
Other than that, they are perfect for sure (Well to be fair I dont even know if the sideways-tilting is any good...).

Ehh, I doubt it. I actually almost got one of those Microsoft mice with the tilting scroll wheel, but I like the regular scroll wheel how it is, and I would be endorsing Microsoft if I got it. So I got the 510 :)

Here's a pretty good review at Dan's Data on one of the optical Razers. Apparently the MX518 use the exact same sensor as the Razers, so the decison between the two really comes down to a question of which ergonomic design and mouse software you like the best.

I'm thinking of picking up a Razer Boomslang, not too happy with my MX510.
Most of the 8 buttons don't do anything for me, t use the ones on the side for "Run..." and "Open Explorer", the rest are all set to middleclick, they're too small to be useful for anything else really.
Also, it's a bit slow for fast paced FPS gaming, I use my old Pilot Mouse for that, but it'd be nice to just have one mouse.
Of course, I have a friend at Logitech, so I might convince him to hand me an MX518 just to try it out, maybe it'll be what the MX510 should have been :)

I've always liked the Logitech mice myself.

Except I rubbed the feet off the bottom and it doesn't sit correctly in the charger anymore (works fine if you nudge it a little once its in though)

I like my 518mx, I don't use the dpi res change that much though. Most important to me besides the good feel/resolution are the forward/backward buttons at the thumb position. I could't stand surfing without those now.

For anyone that already has a gaming mouse, i doubt it would be worth it.

But changing from a cheap optical mouse to my MX510 made a wold of difference in gaming, and it's much more comfortable to use in any situation (web browsing or whatever) for long periods of time.
