Not that I've seen, only that the spread between the lower-performance RAM and the higher-performance RAM is fairly small.

Prices went up and seem to have leveled off near as I can tell. Sometimes you get a sale but its just that a sale. Base prices seem to be steady lately.

While memory prices may not be going down much, SSD & HDD prices sure are....

hopefully this trend will spread over into the ram market as well, especially with DDR4 coming out soon.............

I have to wonder if we will ever see cheap SO-DIMM and DIMM prices.

With the move to mobile (phones and tablets) maybe it will be the soldered on RAM that drops the most (rather than RAM assembled into modules).

P.S. When DDR4 comes out what will be the smallest module size offered? I am thinking it will be 4GB, but maybe even 8GB. If 8GB ends up being the minimum size, I really have to wonder how many takers there will be? 8GB is a pretty decent amount of RAM in this mobile oriented world.

I just bought 16GB DDR3 laptop RAM for $135 shipped. I don't think that's terrible as it wasn't on sale, and I needed it. 8GB is about $70 shipped (that's not on sale). I wish there was a push for fast DDR3 desktop RAM w/ low latency for cheap. I want to get 32 GB DDR3-2133 or DDR3-2400 for my Haswell desktop. Instead I'm using memory from my old desktop - 16GB DDR3-1333

crucial 8gb ddr3-1600 single module have reached prices below $40 before, that is what i wish for.

I guess i don't need it enough to spend money on it now, or don't have the extra money for it.
