Are r9500nps still softmoddable into r9800 np?

Do you mean 9500NP to a 9700NP?

Since they don't even make 9500s anymore, it depends if you can even get one or not!
 
My friends sapphire 9500np was able to softmod to 9700np but it had some artifacts when watching Mpeg and some other small problems. They still sell them at newegg for around $140. It may or may not softmod so YMMV.
